Kuala Lumpur, 4 August 2026
Vantris Energy Berhad (“Vantris Energy” or “the Company”) today announced that its Engineering & Construction (“E&C”) and Drilling business segments have respectively secured work orders for the provision of transportation and installation (“T&I”) and tender-assisted drilling rig (“TADR”) services in Malaysia. The awards reflect continued customer confidence in Vantris Energy’s track record and collaborative approach with clients in developing and executing offshore solutions.
Under its E&C segment, VTEB Offshore Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has been awarded a work order by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (“PETRONAS Carigali”) for offshore T&I services under the existing T&I for offshore facilities contract for PETRONAS Carigali. The works have commenced in the second quarter of calendar year 2026 and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of calendar year 2027.
Also in Malaysia, the Company's Drilling business unit secured a Notice of Assignment (NOA) from PETRONAS Carigali and a new contract from Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd (“Vestigo”) for the provision of TADR services. The NOA and new contract are expected to commence sequentially in the third quarter of calendar year 2026 involving offshore development drilling campaigns in Malaysia.
With these new additions, the Company’s order book currently exceeds RM6 billion, underscoring Vantris Energy’s continued focus on building a sustainable, high-quality order book through opportunities aligned with its core capabilities, execution certainty, and long-term value creation.
Commenting on the awards, Vantris Energy Group Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Zamri Jusoh said, “Following the completion of our restructuring, we entered the new financial year with a clearer strategic direction and a stronger operational foundation. These awards reflect the continued progress we are making in rebuilding the business through disciplined and focused execution.”
He added, “Our priority is to strengthen our position in core markets where we have proven capabilities, established customer relationships and a strong execution track record. Equally important is the way we work with our clients – through closer collaboration and co-creation to develop practical, value-driven solutions that support their project objectives safely and efficiently.”
“For E&C, we remain focused on opportunities that align with our offshore installation strengths and balanced-risk profile. For Drilling, we continue to build on our market-leading position and operational reliability. Together, these awards reinforce our commitment to converting quality order book wins into consistent execution that supports stronger operational and financial performance.”
